Becoming a GP Training Practice

We are delighted to announce that our practice is in the final stages of becoming an accredited GP Training Practice.  This allows us to supprot fully qualified doctors, who are completing the final stage of their journey to becoming General Practitioners.

Our trainees already have several years of hospital experience and will work under the supervision of our experienced GPs.  Having trainees in the practice helps us:

  • Improve access by increasing clinical capacity
  • Maintain high standards of care through ongoing learning
  • Support the development of the next generation of GPs
  • Bring new ideas and up-to-date clinical knowledge into the practice

Patients will always be told when they are seeing a trainee, and you're welcome to request a different clinician if you would prefer.

We are proud to play a role in training future GPs and look forward to the benefits this brings to our patients and community.
